Overheard

After I told Audree that she needed to stop bulling everything went back to normal. Except for Audree avoiding Grace and Mike flirting with Grace. I can tell it's been driving Audree crazy. It's so obvious she likes Mike. ^.^  but you didn't hear it from me. Any way, all was okay until what I saw today. Mike had basketball game. It was our small private school against another small private school thing. So Ms. called Philip and told him to tell us that we should just stay for the game and then after she will pick us up. It was half time and I remembered I left a book I'm reading in my locker. I get up to get it. Once I get my book I was about to turn the corner but then I heard a door slam. I stopped. No one wasn't really sopost to leave the gym so I thought I got caught. I peeked around hoping it wasn't the principal. It wasn't. It was Audree and Grace. Grace was backing up from Audree fearfully. I thought Audree was going to fight Grace. I was going to reveal myself when Audree spoke.
"What are you doing here?" she said sharply
Grace looked nervous as if choosing her words carefully.
"Mike invited me to his game." she said softly
Audree's face turned an odd red.
"Haven't you ruined enough for me?"
"What are you talking about?" Grace said straightening her posture
"You know what I'm talking abut. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you!" Audree shoved Grace back. Grace, face now turning red, took a step forward.
"It was never my fault. I still don't see why you just blame me for your problems. You use to always do that!"
"Fine, it wasn't your fault." Audree said "It was your parents fault! If they knew how to stick by their friends and keep their pathetic mouths shut, none of this would have happened!" Audree shoved Grace again.
"Don't you dare bring them up!" Grace yelled "You have no idea what this has put me through as well."
"Of course I do. You probably broke a nail." Audree teased
   "You don't understand-"
"No you don't understand. You got to keep your perfect parents and continue your perfect lives, while I was left on the streetds!"
"I..." Grace choked her face turned pale and Audree's eyes watered
"You didn't even try to find me..." Audree whispered "I thought you were my best friend..."
Best friend??!! When were these two best friends? I was definitely missing some major things here. Apparently Grace and Audree knew each other before Audree started living with Ms. they were friends! Best friends! But...what happened? :-o  Did Grace betray Audree? Or did Grace's parents betray Audree? Whatever happened, it effected Audree's life forever!
After Audree said that, she walked back into the gym, leaving Grace standing in the hallway stunned and me wanting to know more.

New Face, Old Rival

It occurred to me, that if I'm in danger of being found by these people who are out to kill us, then is my blog safe? What if they are reading it this very second? What if they tracked to where the blog are being created and find my new home? O.O  I've tried to keep from putting last names, places and certain events out of here so anybody who knows me won't find me. All these thoughts came to me today at school when a new student came into the picture. She is petite and pale, with really blond hair it's almost white. Her features are rounded and child like. I thought she was in middle school when I first saw her but she is a freshman. I didn't think much of her, but when I saw the look on Audree's face when she saw her walk through the doors of the school, I knew something was going on. I was talking to Audree, teaching her to play Assassins when the girl walked by. She didn't notice us. She was too busy reading her class schedule. Audree's face turned pale white and her eyes dilated. I asked her what was wrong and her eyes swelled and she said she needed to go. I tried to find out who she was during the day. Apparently her name is Grace. She has P.E. with me so, I got to observe her from a not creepy distance. Of course that resulted in a kick in the knee...from Jasmine!
   "What's your problem?" I yelled
"Get your head in the game!" she called running away with the soccer ball kicking it to someone else.
The boys were playing basketball on the court and when someone kicked the ball out of bounds Grace went to go retrieve it. Audree was watching her with furious eyes like she just murdered someone. Grace  walked up to the basketball court where the ball had wondered to. Mike called a time out and ran over the the rolling soccer ball and picked it up. Grace walked up sheepishly to him as Mike handed her the ball. Grace turned pink when she took the ball. Mike smiled at her and said something to her. Grace answered and the guys started yelling at Mike to hurry up so he said bye and went back to the game. Grace walked back to the field awkwardly. Audree's eyes were in a cold stare and her jaw was seriously clenched. The rest of the game Audree was purposely trying to kill Grace. She pushed her down and jumped over her and kept dribbling the ball in between her feet. Grace cringed when she jumped over her. I thought couch was going to blow the whistle and say that Grace gets a free kick, but apparently she was enjoying the torture going on, on the field. In the locker rooms Audree walked right past Grace not even glancing at her. Grace put a pitiful expression, looked down, and continued changing. I felt bad for Grace. First day and she's already being bullied by someone, and that someone is my friend! I can't imagine what Audree did to her in other classes. I immediately saw myself in the girl. In sixth grade I was extremely shy. I couldn't even answer teachers questions of "How are you?" without  vomiting. Okay, it wasn't that bad, but it didn't get me friends either. Instead it brought me bullies. Of course Jasmine was the cool, friendly person who was everyone's friend got ticked when I told her and told them off. After that I got over being so shy. I didn't want anyone to experience that while I knew about it. At home I was determined to talk to Audree about it alone. And when I did...
"Jamie your good in science help me out here." Audree said as we sat at the dinning table doing homework
"You usually are very good in science." I said leaning to her
"Uh, yeah..." she stuttered "I was distracted in class, I didn't hear the lesson."
"Is Grace in your science class?" I asked, her fist clenched as I said her name
"Who?" she pretended not to know
"You know who," I said "That new girl with the blond hair. You can't take your deadly eyes off her."
"I haven't stared at anyone today," Audree said guessing answers on her page
"Audree I saw you in P.E. you were trying to kill her!"
   "I wasn't. I'm just competitive."
"No, I've seen you competitive, and you are never like that."
Audree shook her head.
"Audree your bulling the poor girl. She's new. Cut her some slack."
Audree's eyes were burning. "Since when was she your best friend?"
"She's not. I just don't like it when I see someone being bullied."
Audree got up from her seat holding back with all her strength the tears. "Fine," she collected her books "I wont bully her anymore. For your sake." she left to her room and I knew the moment the door slammed she locked it.

What I know

So now were are all really confused. We were expecting a really good speech from Ms. and all we get is the same thing we were told by our parents...how nice -_-  Audree is talking and being herself again. I think she is finally over what ever caused her to go into a depressed state. I'm happy she's out of it now. It was scaring me. Today Philip was helping me with reading homework in the garden...
   "You understand now?" he asked
   "Yeah," I say
"Kay," he set the literature book on the bench beside me and waited for me to finish reading the story.
I couldn't exactly focus on the story. Shakespeare's words were swilling around on the page. I blinked. I know there's nothing wrong with my eyes...maybe if I just get a snack...I got up from the bench.
"Oh no you don't!" Philip got right in front of me. He knows I'm claustrophobic and I sat down so I wasn't to close. "You told me you were not going to let anything distract you."
"But it doesn't make sense anyway..."
"You can't focus?" he asked worried
"I haven't eaten anything since breakfast! I'm starving."
   "You didn't eat lunch?"
   "I lost my appetite."
Philip shook his head.
"Stay here, I'll get you something." he said
I puffed my lips. Of course he doesn't let me get my own snack. :\  He left the garden. I tried to read again but I couldn't focus. All I could think about was the conversation Ms. gave us a couple days ago. I remembered how Philip seemed to know more about his parents than any of us did. Did he even say his parents never told him where they worked? Right he did...but maybe he lied. I felt like he knew something but he just didn't want to share. Philip came back with a PB& J sandwich. Not exactly my favorite, but it will do. I bit into the sanwich. I tried to talk right after that. Smart.
"Suff, wemm fluull" I tried to say, Philip laughed
"Your welcome?" he laughed, I swallowed then got back to bussiness
"Heh heh," ok, here I go "Did your parents ever tell you at least what the bussiness they worked for was about?" I asked nervously
"Uhh.." I could tell he really wasn't comfortable talking about it, but I had to know everything I could find out "It was for...for making weapons."
Whoa. What? My parents helped made weapons?!
"And different science experiments," he continued
"I can't believe our parents worked together and we never met. None of us even went to the same zone school."
"I was in a private school."
"What school?" Sorry I can't put what school he said. Safety. :P  So going to what I said after he told me what school he used to go to. "Oh, I know that place. Some of my old friends knew kids there. They said most everybody there was rich and snobby."
Philip laughed "Not everybody,"
After we were done studying I told what I knew to Jasmine. Which seemed like a mistake at first.
Jasmine: Ooooo! You two were alone in the garden? ;)
I thought she couldn't take anything seriously.
Jasmine: I heard the guys who went to that private school were hot! No wonder Philip got in...I mean...
Finally, I told her about the fact that our parent worked for a business that made weapons.
   "Are you sure?" she asked
"Yes!" I answered "Do you think that somehow all our parents betrayed the company because they found out they were terrorist! So now we are hiding and on the run from them?"
   "Yeah, I don't think that's what happened."
"Well, what if our parents found out they were selling to people we were in war with and were going to tell the govement and then they were threaten to be killed!"
"Uh," Jasmine wasn't looking to sure anymore
   "Or! Or..."
"Jamie," Jasmine grabbed my shoulders "What if our parents were the ones who betrayed the company. They got caught for stealing weapons, or money."
I pushed myself away from Jasmine. How could she even think that? Our parents, Mike's, Philip's, Tony's and Audree's parents all betray the company and put us all in danger? Why would they do that? My dad was a smart man. He wouldn't risk his daughters lives to steal. My dad is better than that...my mom is better than that.
I shook my head and turned from Jasmine. "Never mind," I whispered
So, now I know that my parents worked for a company that sells weapons. Apparently dangerous weapons. I also know that they worked with Ms. and with all the parents of the gang except Tony's dad who left his mom when he was a baby. :\  I know whatever happened, who betrayed who...it caused my father's deaf and the rest of us to go on the run or they will find us too and kill us as well.

Realization

So I will continue on what happened after we realized our parents could have possibly worked together. We asked each other where we lived before moving here. Coincidentally, we all moved around alot and before we moved around alot we were all living in the same state and area! Its weird how we never have seen each other before. :-o  When we told Audree on Friday at school she suggested we ask Ms. about it. Of course we were all scared to ask. I mean, the lady does look pretty mean...even though, she really isn't, but still! Since Philip has been living with her the longest we only thought it would be practical he ask her about it. On Saturday morning when Ms. went out to buy groceries we all sat at the table surrounding Philip who who was reading a book and starting asking questions.
"So, what did Ms. say when you asked her?" asked Tony
Philip held his gaze on the book, but lifted his head up so we would know he at least heard him. After about five years he looked up at us.
"Yes...?" he asked puzzled...I guess he didn't hear Tony's question.
"Did you talk to her?" asked Jasmine irritated
   "Well..." he went on
"Dude, don't tell me you chickened out." Tony smiled
"You were the one who said you didn't want to talk to her first!" Philip complained
"So, you didn't talk to her?" I asked
Philip took a while to respond. We all leaned in carefully.
"Ok, I did speak with her," he said finally, we all sighed with relief "But, she didn't give me much...in fact she barely gave me anything!"
"Ok! Ok!" Jasmine cried "What did she give you?"
"Well...I asked Ms. how she knew my parents and she said they were just business friends a long time ago."
   "How long?" asked Audree
"She didn't say. I asked about everyone else's parents and she got suspicious and started asking me why I was so curious and I panicked after that. So...she said she was going to talk to all of us."
"Oh, God..." Tony said slumping back on the couch "I'm not in the mood to get a speech. I already got one from Ms. Hagrety."
I could understand his frustration. Ms. Hagrety is an old lady who is our history teacher. She gives speeches for every little thing and, I've only known her for a couple weeks now and its already annoying. For instance the bell rings and someone gets up to sharpen their pencil.
Ms. Hagrety: Class, this is ridiculous! Folks, we have been in school for nine months and you still can't  get it right. Before class you need to have already a sharpen pencil and be prepared. Now because you fail to be prepared, you have the whole class waiting on you. I will not have it. If you keep this up your going to be unprepared and slow the rest of your life and won't get into a good college, and you'll be making minimum wage and saying "Would you like fries with that?" for the rest of your life. And let me tell you, minimum wage is not gonna cut it...it's just not. Not with this economy. So, folks you need to get it together.
I am not even kidding. That is exactly what she does. She also has this obsession with note cards. She makes us write questions on the front of them and the answers to the back to study with. Already she's suggesting we have about 1000 note cards! Is she kidding?! No. She never kids. I know her being hard on us will help in the future but...chill out. I'm smart enough not to end up at McDonald's. Then she goes on and on about colleges and how it's so important to have note cards and to study and she always calls us folks. Folks this and folks that. I wanna folks her face!....which makes no sense. :-o  There is no other teacher like her on earth. Bet me if you want cause I know she's the only one.
Moving on, at dinner it was pretty quiet. I guess we were all waiting for Ms. to talk to us, but it wasn't happening...maybe she forgot. I considered this and I nudged Philip next to me. He looked at me nervously. I put a face telling him to do it and he sighed.
"So, heh heh," Philip started "Ms. you said you wanted to talk to us?"
We all looked at her. She lifted her head up from her food and looked at us confused.
"Did I say that?" she said and went back to eating
"Yes!" we all said at the same time
Ms. looked back at all of us surprised, then raised an eye brow.
"I just wanted to say that, you should all stop worrying about your parents. They did the right thing by sending you here. Your safe here. Your parents are completely safe from-" we all looked at her expectantly "Nothing...I'm finished. Just sop poking your nose where it's not meant to be." she got up "Finish eating. Your Americans, that's what you do right?" she left taking her plate and right before she left the room she said "Right,"
Now we all know she knows something. She knows that we were all once in danger...and still are.
